Frank A. Luckino, III is a board certified foot and ankle surgeon with fellowship training in complex reconstructive procedures of the foot and ankle. His focus is on diabetic limb salvage, bunion/hammertoe correction, flatfoot/ankle reconstruction, and sports medicine. He also focuses on conservative (non-operative) treatments of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Luckino graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in Biology. He obtained his medical degree at the Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. His residency was completed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and reconstructive surgical fellowship from Ankle and Foot Care Centers in Youngstown, Ohio. Dr. Luckino is active in residency training where he educates residents on the latest surgical procedures. He is an adjunct faculty member at the Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine.
He is active in Foot and Ankle Societies as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). He has authored peer-reviewed scientific articles in The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and publications in Podiatry Today. He is a textbook contributor co-author in Complications in Foot and Ankle Surgery- Management Strategies and The Indian Textbook of Orthopedic Trauma. He is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Luckino is also a member of the Practice Management Committee for the ACFAS.
Dr. Luckino specializes in treating an array of foot and ankle problems for all age groups, including those problems specific to older adults and those with diabetes. He uses the latest techniques in treating foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Luckino also treats sports injuries such as sprains and fractures. He focuses on helping his patients understand the nature of the injury and treatment strategies that are available. Dr. Luckino is also able to prescribe orthotics and braces to correct foot and ankle pathology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Luckino enjoys watching sports and enjoying time with his wife and four children.
